This Web site is intended to serve as a clearinghouse of news, articles, facts and photos about all of the people and programs that make up Yale-New Haven Hospital. The highlighted stories come from a variety of our internal and external publications, including Impact magazine, Yale-New Haven Magazine, the Bulletin employee newsletter, press releases and links to articles found in mainstream media outlet Web sites. DiscoverYNHH.org also provides a wealth of facts and figures about the hospital, including an overview of employee benefits, a summary of our annual employee survey, a review of our community initiatives and partnerships and much more. Additionally, this Web site provides the opportunity to go beyond the confines of the main hospital Web site to recognize and publically thank all of the valued employees, volunteers and community partners.

Purpose
This site is intended for communication of information with broad appeal to the general public regarding people and programs that make up Yale-New Haven Hospital. Authors of content work with the site's editor to ensure the content supports the hospital's vision guiding site development. The information conveyed on this site does not provide medical advice or treatment for medical conditions.
Submission of materials
All materials developed for the site are submitted to the site editor for review and approval prior to posting on www.DiscoverYNHH.org. Links to sites outside the Web site are allowed if they contribute to the user's understanding of the topic and the destination content is primarily of educational nature. The editor is made aware of the source of the information and each graphic, photograph or piece of art to be posted and requires the source to be stated in the material if outside Yale-New Haven Hospital.

To facilitate site navigation and the presence of appropriate legal information, most content appears within the official page template. Exceptions are limited and for the purpose of functionality. Exceptions to the use of the official page template are at the discretion of the site editor.
Accessibility
This site strives to be accessible to as many of its identified target audience as feasible within the site's financial constraints. Care has been taken to provide ALT tags where graphics are used, particularly those that serve as hyperlinks. This assists those browsing without graphics and those who employ special adaptive browsing software.
Browser compatibility
Content is tested for quality of presentation on the most commonly used versions of several different browsers, again to improve accessibility.

Where appropriate, links are provided on this site to material outside of Yale-New Haven Hospital's control.
