My Hometown, My Hospital - Thomas Balcezak, MD
I love New Haven’s neighborhoods. My wife and I grew up in rural Connecticut towns and we didn’t think for a minute we’d ever raise kids in a city but our daughters have grown up here, and for the quality of life, it couldn’t have been better. We love running in East Rock Park, raising vegetables in our yard, and enjoying concerts, museums and outstanding schools. I really like the trajectory both New Haven and Yale-New Haven are on.
Yale-New Haven Hospital keeps getting better — as a great teaching hospital and as a part of the community. I came in 1992 for an education, and I stayed because it is a great place to live and work.
