YNHH employees introduce teenagers to healthcare careers at NAACP health fair
More than 1,000 area middle and high school students attended the recent NAACP Health and Science Career Fair at the Floyd Little Field House in New Haven. More than 60 YNHH employees from 21 departments discussed a wide variety of healthcare careers with the students.
YNHH has supported the student career fair since the NAACP launched it six years ago. Students were fascinated by the plastic but life-like simulation mannequins YNHH let them examine. Here, YNHHS SYN:APSE Simulation Center's David Dias, assistant, and Serena Marro, coordinator, encouraged the students to explore SimBaby (in the car seat).
